We’re in Harlesden, North West London this week Welcome back to What I Rent – Metro’s tenant diary series that explores what renting is like in the UK and further afield. Last week, we visited Michele Theil in Ware, who left London in 2022 for the green pastures of Hertfordshire. Though she rents her two-bedroom flat by herself, she’s considering moving in with a friend to save money, and dreams of buying one day.
What’s the inspiration for your interior decor style? Niamh: The living room and downstairs is a joint effort as that;s where we both spend the most time. We have gone for ‘pops of pink’ around the flat with cushions, throws, candles and ornaments – this was inspired from buying a cushion cover in pink and then we were obsessed! My room is inspired by comfort and space, so I went for colours that made the room look big and bright with a lot of white furniture.
