Abortion rights supporters marched through Englewood on Sunday, led by a high-profile organizer, Claudia Conway., a top advisor to former President Donald Trump, and conservative attorney George Conway, helped to organize the march, called a “Public Cervix Announcement,” in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
“You can’t celebrate the land of the free if it’s not free for everybody,” said Conway, who promoted the event on her social media channels. “I am a citizen, a WOMAN, in a country restricting rights for people with uteruses. I am fighting for those who will NOT have access to safe abortions. Roe v. Wade was also a precedent; my rights as an LGBTQ+ person are also on the line,” one post said.
