It is set to re-open next week
Nottingham's Vivienne Westwood store remains closed following the iconic designer's death on December 29. As a mark of respect to the fashion pioneer, her stores will not reopen until next week.
A spokesperson for Vivienne Westwood said: "Following the passing of Dame Vivienne Westwood, our stores are currently closed as a mark of respect. They will reopen on January 10." Floral tributes have been left outside the Nottingham shop as fans pay their respects to Vivienne. It comes after flowers and safety pins were also left outside of her London home following her death.The 81 year old died peacefully, surrounded by her family in Clapham, South London. Vivienne continued to do all the things she loved, up until the last moment. This included designing, working on her art, writing her book and helping to change the world for the better.
The designer was known for her innovation and creativity over the last 60 years. The Vivienne Foundation, a not for profit company founded by Vivienne, her sons and granddaughter in late 2022, will launch to honour, protect and continue the legacy of Vivienne's life, design and activism.
