Christine McVie, longtime Fleetwood Mac band member and the woman behind some of the band’s biggest hits, died on Wednesday following a short illness, according to her family. She was 79.on behalf of her family said, “We would like everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and revered musician who was loved universally.”
A singer-songwriter, McVie wrote several of the band's biggest hits, including “Over My Head,” “Don't Stop,” and “You Make Loving Fun.” Fleetwood Mac also released a statement on Twitter, saying:
