The former Miss Liverpool has spoken about her struggles after she separated with Paddy McGuinness
The former Miss Liverpool separated from Paddy McGuinness in July 2022 after 15 years together. The two have remained living together as part of a co-parenting arrangement for their three children, Felicity, Leo and Penelope.
"I am absolutely petrified of the thought of living on my own one day with the children. I want to get to the point where I'm excited about it and I'm not there yet. For now, it works because we're not having to change the children's routine." She said: "Now I can see that I was massively misunderstood. The teachers didn't really know what to do with me.. I couldn't cope. I struggled with the canteen food, became anorexic until I said to my mum I cannot go to school anymore. I did not want to live if I had to go to school, and the school and my mum agreed that the best thing for me was to be at home and stay safe. Now, looking back, it's quite sad that I wasn't supported in the right way like I would be now.
"I'd say no to anything because I was comfortable in my bubble at home. I wasn't unhappy, but I think I was just existing. I don't think I was fully living. That’s what I've learned from , that I want to live this life that I've got."
