The 21-year-old was walking with two friends at East 149th Street and Jackson Avenue in the Mott Haven section at around 6:15 p.m. Sunday when a barrage of gunshots was fired at them.
Cops who responded to the scene found Goodridge shot multiple times in the stomach, and another 21-year-old man who suffered a graze wound to the lower lip that was treated at the scene by paramedics. The unidentified shooter fired a barrage of bullets, fatally wounding Jayden Goodridge and grazing one of his friends.Police said they have no reason to believe Goodridge or any of his friends were the intended targets. As of Wednesday morning, no arrests have been made.as a “happy kid” who brightened the mood of those around him.
The mom added that one of the friends who was with Goodridge Sunday later told her that in the first moments after the shooting, the mortally wounded Jayden was worrying about others.Twitter / @StepinacHS
