One of the outfits failed a flammability test, potentially putting children at serious risk
Kids' Halloween costumes from two major suppliers have been recalled after they were found to have posed serious chemical and fire risks.
According to the government, Maeau baby girl’s pumpkin outfit, sold via Amazon, poses a serious chemical risk due to an excess amount of phthalate in the shoes. This can potentially harm children’s health either via cancer or non-cancer effects and may cause the child to have long term health implications.
