Some concerns had been raised about traffic on nearby roads, a canal and children's safety
Plans to change the use of a West Lancashire house in Scarisbrick into a children's care home have been approved.
An application to change of use of 2C Moorfield Lane, Scarisbrick, into a children's care home was given permission at the latest meeting of West Lancashire Council's planning committee. The plan was called-in for scrutiny by councillors by Conservative Coun Alexander Blundell, especially to consider the impact on neighbours. But council planning officers had recommended approval with conditions to protect neighbours from any disturbance, saying the overall proposals were acceptable.
A planning permission notice issued by the council states: "The noise management scheme shall review all noise-making activities and identify appropriate methods for reducing or limiting noise in outdoor areas which is likely to be audible at nearby residential properties.
