A post-mortem is due to take place after a child died in hospital following a medical emergency at a home in Larne.
A child has died following an incident in a home, police have confirmed. Emergency services were scrambled to a medical emergency involving a youth on Loran Avenue, Larne, Northern Ireland, yesterday afternoon.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland have launched a probe into the incident, with officers still on the scene. The force have urged the public not to share speculation in relation to the child's passing, as the cause of death is not yet known. "Officers received a report yesterday afternoon of a medical emergency involving a child at a property in the Loran Avenue area of the town.
"Until a post-mortem is completed, we will not know the cause of death and would, therefore, urge people to refrain from speculation in relation to this death."
