Chicago shootings on New Year's Day left two fatally shot in separate incidents, police said.
CHICAGO -- Chicago police said 17 people have been shot, three fatally, in weekend violence across the city.A person was found shot to death Saturday morning in Humboldt Park on the West Side.
About 5:25 a.m., the man, 22, was found with a gunshot wound to his back in an alley in the 6000 block of South Bishop Street, Chicago police said. About 2 a.m., the man, 27, was standing outside in the 6100 block of South Wabash Avenue when he was struck in the waist by gunfire, Chicago police said.
