The City of Chicago celebrated a partnership with community groups Tuesday to make sure no migrants go hungry. Chicago , the Greater Chicago Food Depository, BJ's Market and many other nonprofits have invested nearly $18 million in Black and brown businesses to feed the migrants. Illinois Republican congressional candidate Darren Bailey was in Texas on Monday and called out Chicago for its sanctuary status.
Former state representative and senator Darren Bailey, currently running for Congress against a fellow Republican, visited the southern border on Monday. A summit was held Saturday to address the growing number of migrants across the state of Illinois. Over 500 community members representing 45 organizations and allies were in attendance.
