Cheers has instructed its Lau Pa Sat franchisee to dismiss the staff member who refused to cooperate with police officers after calling them in regarding a dispute that had happened at the store on Jan 1."Preliminary investigations revealed that comments about race and nationality and verbal threats were allegedly exchanged prior to police's arrival," the police said.
He also asked them about a"loss of income" due to the closure of the store to which one of the officers replied it was not closed. "We require all staff to offer full co-operation and compliance with the authorities, and we do not tolerate acts from staff that undermine the authority of the Police.
