Microsoft confirmed that ChatGPT's successor GPT-4 will be multimodal, supporting video, audio, and image input on top of text.

“We will introduce GPT-4 next week, there we will have multimodal models that will offer completely different possibilities – for example videos,” Microsoft CTO Andreas Braun said. Going beyond text means the AI can look at YouTube clips or listen to audio recordings and then provide answers to questions.
