The charred body of a Singaporean driver was found in a burnt car at Jalan Pekeliling Industrial Park in Johor on Monday (Oct 23) late morning. Seri Alam district police chief Supt Mohd Suhaimi Ishak told China Press that the deceased was a 62-year-old Singaporean-Chinese, and his body was conveyed to Hospital Sultan Ismail in Johor Bahru.

Sarhan Akmal added that the firemen had to use rescue tools to remove the remains of the victim's body that was trapped in the burning car. They were reportedly having problems identifying the victim's gender as identification documents belonging to the deceased were also burnt in the incident. His body was handed over to the police for further action and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
