Charli XCX took to Twitter to clarify that the 'smoke' in the WhiteMercedes video was just some good old movie magic.
Charli XCX unveiled the music video for her emotional ballad, "White Mercedes," on Thursday , which features a burning white Mercedes, emitting a massive blaze and jet-black smoke into the sky.
Following some backlash calling out the singer for the air pollution the scene appeared to cause, she took to Twitter to clarify that the "smoke" was just some good old movie magic. "just so everyone is aware the black smoke and heavy fire is made by special effect liquid they use for cinema," she explained. "the car itself was completely emptied of all its oil and toxic liquids.
