Police have not released details on what led to the Friday morning shelter-in-place in a York County neighborhood.
A shelter-in-place order went into effect around 9:15 a.m. because of a domestic incident on the 500 block of Kellinger Road in Fairview Township. The order was lifted before noon Friday, according to Cody Santiago, York County’s director of emergency management.
Santiago said someone barricaded themselves inside a home during the incident. Kellinger Road was shut down at Scully Place, and the shelter-in-place order was in effect for a quarter-mile radius. Fairview Township police were not immediately available to provide additional information. It’s unclear who was taken into custody or what charges they may be facing. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
