As the final leg of Celebrity Race Across the World reached its epic conclusion on Wednesday evening, one couple snatched victory from their rivals with a margin of just 4 minutes
After six nail biting weeks on our screens, Celebrity Race Across the World finally came to its jaw dropping conclusion, with Alex Beresford taking home the coveted win with his dad Noel.
Unfortunately, Billy Monger and his sister Bonny failed to complete the race, as they pulled out of the final leg of the competition due to a family emergency which required that they return home immediately. “I feel like I’ve readjusted,” said Alex. “I’ve never taken this amount of time off of work before, the race has challenged my routine and I definitely think I have become more open minded, it’s been nice to let my hair down, so to speak.”
Billy said: "They’ve just been at the top from the get-go and they’ve been right in the mix," whilst Noel Beresford, Alex’s father, also agreed, adding: "I always had my eye on Harry and Emma.”
