A 24-hour ceasefire agreed between Sudan's army and paramilitaries has been broken.
Warplanes were heard roaring through the skies above Khartoum and witnesses reported a large army ground force entering the city from the east. The Syndicate's Atiya Abdulla Atiya said:"The fighting remains underway. We are hearing constant gunfire."Clashes have continued despite calls from the US and others to stop, while Egypt and the United Arab Emirates had been trying to broker a ceasefire.
