The updated rule is the most aggressive federal recommendation to date related to the coronavirus.
The rules do not apply to schools and businesses , which have already been closed by some cities and states across the country.
The CDC’s recommendations are not meant to supersede the advice of state and local health officials, which have already gone further than the CDC guidance in some cases and closed schools and businesses.: “This recommendation is made in an attempt to reduce introduction of the virus into new communities and to slow the spread of infection in communities already affected by the virus,” the guidelines read.: The U.S.
