Nottinghamshire Police was called to a report of young men fighting with weapons
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they urgently want to speak to after an alleged street fight in Nottingham city centre. Officers were called to a report of a group of young men fighting with weapons in Canal Street, near Nottingham College's city hub, shortly before 1pm on October 18.
Three men, aged 18, 22 and 26, along with a 16-year-old boy, have been arrested on suspicion of affray in relation to the incident. Detectives have now released an image of a male who they say could hold vital information as part of their investigation. Detective Constable Richard Naylor, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We continue to make progress with our investigation into this incident and I hope that provides reassurance to people living, working and studying in this neighbourhood.“We want to speak to the man pictured urgently and would urge anyone who knows him or has any other information to get in touch. I would also urge anyone involved in the incident to do the right thing and come forward so we can take their account.
“This was a large-scale disturbance in a busy location that would have attracted a lot of attention. I would also urge anyone with additional information, dash-cam, CCTV or mobile phone footage who has not already spoken to an officer to come forward.” Police have asked anyone with information to contact 101 quoting incident 314 of October 18 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
