Communities across Nottinghamshire have been devastated
Cars have been submerged in a Nottinghamshire town severely hit by flooding in the wake of Storm Babet. Heavy rain and wind caused chaos across Nottinghamshire on Friday, October 20, with several communities being devastated by the weather.
Yellow and amber weather warnings were issued by the Met Office for Nottinghamshire, whilst a major incident has also been declared in the neighbouring county of Derbyshire. The rain is expected to continue into Friday evening, but it is forecast to ease over the weekend.It has been reported some residents in the St Patrick's and Redwood Court area of Hucknall had to be evacuated from their homes due to the amount of standing water.
