UPDATE: The driver of the car that crashed into the home in Northampton County died. New details reveal what happened.
A car crash in Northampton County on Thursday morning left the driver of the car dead after crashing into an embankment, a tree, a flower bed and then a home.
The driver of the car, 21-year-old Mathew Irizarry, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 1325 Morgan Hill Road in Williams Township by the Northampton County Coroner's Office. On Thursday morning at approximately 9:11 a.m. Irizarry was traveling in the southbound lane of Morgan Hill Road when he switched to the northbound lane and lost control of the car, an official report stated.
The car then traveled off the shoulder of the roadway and struck an embankment with the passenger side of the front bumper. The car continued traveling northeast up the embankment and struck a tree with the passenger side of the car.
