Officers were called to York Street around 7.35am on Tuesday, July 2.

Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to £673,000 have been discovered following a fire in Ayr .The fire was extinguished and there were no reports of injuries.

Constable Phoebe Pritchard, Ayrshire Proactive Crime Team, Ayr Police Office, said: “Thankfully no one was injured during this incident but we need more information to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
