Plans to introduce charges to enter the Kibble Palace have been put on hold until they are looked over by another council committee with an equality assessment also requested.
Campaigners have welcomed the decision to put plans to introduce charges to enter the Kibble Palace on hold.
It was decided last week that the introduction of charges would be paused until a community consultation and equality impact assessment is undertaken.Actor Tam Dean Burn, who is part of the Keep Kibble Free campaign, told Glasgow Live: "I was so pleased to discover that we had a lot of sympathy and understanding from the councillors on the Well-being Engagement and Communities Committee.
"We’ve had such support from so many people with unforgettable visits from folk like comedian Mark Thomas and I loved singing a duet with local jazz singer legend Suzanne Bonnar of the campaign song I wrote Keep the Kibble Free, a rewrite of the old spiritual Let My People Go.
