Campaigners say trips of 210 miles have to be made to access most obstetrics and gynaecology services.
A spokeswoman said: "Safe obstetrics are vital, but women are more than just baby-makers. Gynaecology is essential for women throughout their lives."
Nicole Gunn, 19, is among local women who have personal experience of long journeys to access services. She said: "The staff and the midwives are absolutely amazing. They are worth their weight in gold, but are just so limited in what they can do.Public Health Minister Maree Todd said the Scottish government was determined to ensure women in the north of Scotland had access to the care and services they required.
On Thursday, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced that Prof Anna Glasier OBE had been appointed as the first Women's Health Champion for Scotland to help drive forward actions in the women's health plan.NHS Highland said it had formal meetings with NHWWH and was also in regular contact with the group to provide it with updates on services and what was available in the Caithness area.
