The House Majority PAC, a leading funding vehicle for Democratic House races, announced a $35 million Battleground California Fund on Tuesday that is set to zero in on vulnerable Republicans in the Golden State's congressional delegation."While much of that spending will occur in 2024, we must begin investing today in messaging, research, and Republican accountability campaigns to ensure we are in the best possible position to win next November," the group said in a press release.
"House Democrats outperformed expectations and won nearly every toss-up race in the country," the group said."One of the few exceptions to this historic year was California, where House Democrats lost 5 seats that President Biden won in 2020." As part of its strategy to undercut California Republicans, the group will open its coffers to target minority voters, organize turnout operations, fund grassroots groups, back direct mail campaigns, and more.
