Former Crusaders midfielder Declan Caddell will take over from Stephen Baxter as manager at the end of the season.
Former Crusaders midfielder Declan Caddell will replace Stephen Baxter as manager at the end of the season.Caddell joined the Crues at 15 years of age and won three Premiership titles along with four Irish Cup successes during a decorated career with the north Belfast club.Caddell, who retired after helping Crusaders to Irish Cup glory last year, also won the League Cup and three County Antrim Shield medals as a player under Baxter.
"Caddell, who joined Crusaders 21 years ago as a 15-year-old, came through the club's youth system and was a key player during Stephen Baxter's amazing era at the club. "Declan was appointed as Head of Crusaders Football Academy in June 2022, implementing a youth review setting up the club's full-time post-16 academy and has been an integral part of the club's staffing structure since his retirement.Crusaders currently sit fourth in the league table as they bid to secure European football at the end of the season.
