I will start by saying that I have been a country music fan for as long as I can remember. Having been brought up listening to the likes of Philomena Begley and Susan McCann, I suppose you could say that for a boy from the city, I liked country before it was "cool".
Having donned my cowboy boots and western shirt, I was delighted to be surrounded by a sea of Stetsons. Each of them had their own unique sound and I can't wait to see where they go with their careers next.
Carly, who has recently announced that she will be returning to Belfast next year on tour played a number of her hits and treated fans to a few new songs from her album Hummingbird which is due to be released in June. His sound is akin to R&B mixed with modern country and this is something he addressed to the crowd while also discussing his life including having lived in a car with his mother for a period as a baby after her parents threw her out because he born mixed race, to his experiences with domestic violence and his own mental health struggles.
