Pictures show a large police presence and ambulance crews with a cordon in place and roads closed. Fire crews also attended. Mia Rose said on X this afternoon: 'One of the most horrible scenes I've witnessed. Really praying everybody involved in the incident at Piccadilly Gardens are okay and pull through. My heart goes out to all involved.''Hoping everyone is alright with the massive emergency services presence. I've walked that way so many times, can't imagine how shaken the witnesses must be.
People initially thought it was a film set, while another witness said it was one of the most horrible scenes she had witnessed'Police alongside colleagues in the North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue have been in attendance.
