A burglar has been jailed after eagle-eyed detectives linked him to the crimes thanks to his distinctive bushy sideburns. Police also spotted crook Dean Whyte's unique razor-sharp cheek bones on security footage filmed at the scene of the crimes.
, but his distinctive features gave him up. Resourceful detectives analysed the footage and spotted Whyte's unique bushy sideburns and angular cheek bones peaking over his disguise. He was also linked to the crimes by a backpack and a pair of gloves found during a search of his home address in Worksop. Appearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday, he pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and one of attempted burglary. He was cleared of a further six offences, but was jailed for a total of four-and-a-half years for his crimes.
