LEWISBURG – Bucknell University is changing its COVID-19 masking mandate with the beginning of the new year.
The university had been requiring masks in indoor public campus spaces when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention listed Union County’s COVID-19 transmission rate as high asStudents have been compliant Bucknell’s COVID vaccine and booster requirements and the vast majority of employees have voluntarily received the vaccine.
Faculty and staff may require them in classrooms and labs and those who do not comply may be excused from class, he said. If a student does not have a mask, one has to be provided, he said. Free masks still will be available at the university switchboard until the current supply is exhausted, he said. Students have been advised to bring a personal supply of masks for the spring semester.
