The vocal group will perform remotely from Korea on the show, to be broadcast on NBC live across time zones in the U.S. at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
The group has won Top Social Artist for the last four years in a row and, given the strength of the BTS Army, is a heavy favorite to make it five this year. The record-holder for that fan-voted category is Justin Bieber, who won it six years in a row from 2011-2016. BTS is the third artist announced for a performance on this year’s telecast, following Pink and the Weeknd. Nick Jonas is set to host.
