What to know about the violent ‘Tren de Aragua’ gang terrorizing the US
with open arms is bringing bloodshed to the suburbs next door. A notorious Venezuela n prison gang has set up shop in Aurora, Colorado — even though the town wanted no part of the influx of asylum seekers in the first place.
In February, Aurora City Council passed a resolution 7-3 emphatically stating that it will not provide resources and support to migrants or others brought into the community from neighboring cities. Aurora police declined to provide additional details about the task force, but said in a statement it that “APD will not tolerate violent crime in our communities.”
Despite the slew of Tren de Aragua crimes in Denver, Marc Sears, president of Aurora’s police union, said that it’s “absolutely inaccurate” to say the gang is taking over the city. The apartment investor told The Post that they’ve “lost control” of several properties because the gang has taken over units.
