UPDATE: Firefighters issue evacuation warning for Castlewood Drive in Pleasanton as they continue battling brush fire in the area. Evacuation orders still in place for Kilkare Road in Sunol and Golden Eagle Estates in Pleasanton.

Fire crews say high temperatures, low humidity and wind all played a factor in how fast the flames spread. “It’s your house, your life, your everything in front of you could be disappearing forever,” said evacuee Naji Haddad. “It’s an indescribable feeling. We are hoping that this fire will be taken care of.”
Foothill Road between Bernal Avenue and Castlewood Drive is closed to traffic. Police ask everyone avoid the area.The evacuation is still in place for Kilkare Rd in Sunol and Golden Eagle Estates in Pleasanton. Castlewood residents are now under an evacuation warning.
