A double shooting in Brooklyn left one man dead and second victim injured Saturday night, cops said.
Police responded to a 911 call of shots fired near Avenue K and East 46th Street in Flatlands at 9:17 p.m. on Jan. 21, but when authorities arrived, they found no victims. However, a preliminary investigation determined that two men were struck by bullets at the scene — both transported to area hospitals by private means.
The first victim, a 30-year-old man, was shot in the torso and taken to Mount Sinai Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim, a 28-year-old man, was shot in the right shoulder and taken to the same hospital, where he remains in stable condition. No arrests have been main and the investigation remains ongoing. The victims’ identities are being withheld pending family notification.
