Brokeback Mountain, the iconic story about two cowboys in love, played by Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal in the 2005 film adaptation, to be reimagined on the West End for a 12-week run from May 10.
West Side Story actor Mike Faist and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri star Lucas Hedges have been cast as Jack Twist and Ennis Del Mar respectively.
It’s set in Wyoming in 1963, as people find themselves in extreme poverty while living in tight and conservative communities. ‘Ashley’s script is fresh and deeply moving, opening sight lines not visible in the original nor successive treatments.’
