Britney Spears' life and story is getting the biopic treatment, with Universal Pictures landing the rights to the star's memoir The Woman in Me.
director Jon M. Chu and Marc Platt are leading the film’s development. Earlier on Thursday , Spears took to X to reveal that she’s been working on a “secret project” with Platt.“Excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt. He’s always made my favorite movies … stay tuned,” Spears wrote.memoir selling 1.1 million copies in its first week.
“Need A-lot of Bandz to make this………..OKAY 🍸💵🤑,” she captioned the post. “.” Madonna has yet to confirm if the post is, in fact, alluding to the upcoming film. In January 2023, it was announced that the biopic was on hold at Universal Pictures for Madonna to focus on her global Celebration Tour.
