The man was given CPR at the scene A British man has drowned on a beach in India after going for a swim. He and his wife were regular visitors to Goa in the west of the country, it was reported in local media. The man, 72, was caught in a strong current and pulled back to the beach by lifeguards on jetskis. But although he was given CPR at Talpona beach in Canacona on Friday, he could not be saved. Police registered an ‘unnatural’ death and an autopsy was requested.
