Cops were called to a property in the Alexandria area on Thursday evening after receiving reports of a large-scale disturbance.
The force has said that some members of the crowd began throwing objects, including bricks and fireworks, at them before dispersing. “We have a duty to ensure the safety of everyone involved and although no officers were injured, this kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable.
