Princess Kate shared an emotional video message revealing she is now undergoing chemotherapy
Kate Middleton has revealed she is undergoing treatment for cancer. In a brave video message – released on Friday evening – Catherine, The Princess of Wales spoke of how the diagnosis has come as a ‘huge shock, but told fans: ‘I am well and getting stronger every day.’
She told how she underwent surgery thinking her condition was non-cancerous, however, despite the surgery being successful, test after the operation found cancer had been present.Kate’s statemnt in full ‘I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery.
‘We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment. My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery. ‘The government will introduce new passport fees’ Announcing the passport price increase, the Home Office said: ‘The government will introduce new passport fees for all applications on 11 April 2024.’

Marcie had the tests and then we were brand new parents who were left in complete limbo. All we were really told was ‘not to Google’ anything. It was the longest five days of our lives and we did a lot of crying. It was such a scary time, which was exacerbated by being told “I’m sorry” by so many of the medical professionals we met. There wasn’t a lot of positivity at this point.
I finally saw lived experience from families going through the same as us and people who were further down the road. It was refreshing and it gave me so much hope for the future. ‘She has a better social life than me’ But I’ll be honest and say it has been emotionally tough at times. I took Marcie to a lot of baby groups in the first year and there was a realisation every time that I was on a different journey and I couldn’t always share in the same conversations as other parents. I did find it hard seeing my friend’s babies crawling up to them and walking around, not knowing if and when Marcie would be doing the same.
‘We’ve come up against stereotypes’ It hasn’t been an easy journey to get to this point and trying to get physiotherapy and speech therapy through the NHS and Marcie’s EHCP have been very challenging.
