That’s what Atlanta Braves catcher William Contreras apparently tried to do last night in Washington and it almost kind of worked for him. Catchers are known to try to frame pitches and make balls look like strikes in hopes that the ump will think it was indeed a strike. Contreras took that to a hilarious level on this pitch by Bryce Elder which wasn’t even close to being a strike.
