Brandin Cooks' game-winning TD catch a reminder he's 'still here'

Cooks, who had missed the past three games with a calf injury, returned to the starting lineup Saturday against the Titans and caught the game-winning touchdown in the back of the end zone. The Texans beat the Titans 19-14, snapping a nine-game losing streak.“Brandin Cooks was outstanding today,” Smith said. “We needed a drive at the end, and that just said an awful lot of the offense to go down there and get that touchdown like that.
It’s been a frustrating season for Cooks, who finished with four catches for 34 yards and a touchdown. He’ll likely fail to reach 1,000 yards receiving for only the second time in the past eight seasons. He requested a trade in October, shortly before the trade deadline, but the Texans failed to get a deal done. Shortly after the deadline, he expressed his frustration on social media, and did not commit to the Texans past this season.When asked where he was at with the team, and what his tweet meant, Cooks referenced the team’s win.
“That’s what was most important,” Cooks said. “Missed being out here on the field with my guys, coming out here today, being able to go to battle and be able to finish and get a dub.
