A primary school in Brackley is set to close next year due to a lack of pupils taking up places. The Department for Education has approved the decision by the Trustees of Southfield Primary who have said the school is not financially viable.
Southfield Primary Academy was rated inadequate by Ofsted in 2019. The following inspection in 2022 rated the school as requiring improvement, with a good rating in two areas, including leadership and management.
