Here's how to watch 15 million bats flutter into dark Hill Country nights this summer.

You can watch the nightly spectacle tonight on Facebook Live.As darkness falls over the hustle and bustle of San Antonio, 15 million bats swarm the summer nights., on the northern edge of San Antonio in Comal County, is the world’s largest bat colony and “one of the largest concentrations of mammals on earth,” according to Bat Conservation International.
Viewing the bats from afar with the naked eye is nearly impossible as they fly quickly at altitudes between 3,000 to 10,000 feet after leaving the cave. Reservations are required to see the flights, and most scheduled viewings are for members of the nonprofit and their guests. For those who don’t want to pay the $45 minimum yearly membership, a few viewings are open to the public for $30 each. They last two to three hours.
