Boy who died after being hit by a bus is named as Lucas Ashton as family mourn their immense loss
11-year-old Lucas Ashton was riding his bike on Friday afternoon in Vernon Street, Bolton, when he was knocked down. The police attended the horror incident, with Lucas pronounced dead at the scene, the MEN reports.
Leoni said she "couldn't watch" as the emergency services arrived at the scene. She said: "I went to the shop and by the time I came back the road was flooded with police. Leoni added that children often ride their bikes in the area, particularly along Vernon Street, saying: "There are so many little kids that play up here, mine included. It’s a shame. It’s just been Christmas and it’s New Year’s Eve today. I can’t imagine what that family is going through."
