Piles of smouldering rubbish have been pictured in Edinburgh following chaos in the city on Bonfire Night.
It comes after police were called in to deal with a series of incidents involving fireworks. Councillor Scott Arthur shared the images on X, formally known as Twitter, and said the situation in the suburb was "not as bad as he feared" following tragic affairs that took place in other Edinburgh areas.
Saturday November 5 marked the yearly occasion where locals light bonfires and set off fireworks in memory of Guy Fawkes. However, the celebration led to chaos across the capital that left multiple police officers injuries following riots in Niddrie.
