Train services from Leeds to Shipley have been cancelled after the bomb was found
A 100-metre long police cordon has been enforced, with road closures in place, after a bomb was found near to the railway at Apperley Bridge Railway Station.
Officers from the British Transport Police are working alongside West Yorkshire Police and the ambulance service to ensure the safety of people in the area. The BTP said: "British Transport Police were called to Apperley Bridge Railway Station just before 9.30am today to reports of an unexploded ordinance found near the station during excavation work taking place.
Road closures are in place on the A658, Harrogate Road at Apperley Bridge, Bradford. Drivers are advised to find an alternative route.
