Body of missing 15-year-old paddleboarder found at Sand Hollow State Park

BREAKING Body of missing 15-year-old South Jordan boy who fell off his paddleboard at Sand Hollow State Park has been found.

Landon Crook was with family members in the south beach area of the park at around 10 a.m. when he fell from the paddleboard and did not resurface.

Utah State Parks law enforcement rangers responded, along with Washington County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue and the Hurricane City Police Department. Crook's body was eventually located at 12:30 p.m. in 25-feet of water. When he fell into the water, Crook was not wearing a life jacket, according to authorities, and it's not known if there was one onboard the paddleboard.
