Dramatic pictures from the scene show the white BMW with a completely crushed bonnet
A BMW was obliterated after being ploughed into a street light in south Manchester on Tuesday afternoon . Police closed off Wilbraham Road after the crash, in Whalley Range, shortly after 4pm.
Fire crews were also called to the crash as well as officers from Greater Manchester Police and helped to secure the scene, with no injuries reported. The driver fled the scene. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Just after 4pm on Tuesday 14 February, fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Wilbraham Road, Manchester.
