Police and fire services can be seen in the area
There are a number of road closures in Blackpool due to an incident with a man refusing to come down from a roof.
A man is on a roof in the seaside resort as police work to bring the incident to a safe end. LancsLive understands the man is on a roof on Clevedon Road in Blackpool. . A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said the man is on the roof as they try to bring the incident to a close. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service also confirmed it was a police-led incident and did not comment when approached.North West Ambulance Service personnel are also on the scene.
Road closures are in place from Egerton Road to Chesterfield Road Clevedon Road is also closed. Traffic monitoring service Inrix says: "Egerton Road in both directions closed due to police incident from Carshalton Road to Clevedon Road. Traffic is coping well." A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "There is a man on a roof. We are at the scene and trying to bring the situation to a peaceful conclusion."READ NEXT:
